Omaha Print CEO Inducted into Printing Industry Hall of Fame
Omaha, Neb. (Vocus) November 24, 2009 -- Steve Hayes, CEO of Omaha Print, was recognized by Printing Impressions and the Rochester Institute of Technology for his outstanding work in the printing industry.
Along with three other exceptional printing executives from around the country, Hayes was inducted into the Printing Impressions/Rochester Institute of Technology Printing Industry Hall of Fame on Sept. 14, 2009, in Chicago. The September issue of Printing Impressions features a profile of each of the Hall of Fame inductees.
Hayes started with Omaha Print in 1971, was named president in 1991 and CEO in 2007. He was recognized for his leadership at Omaha Print and throughout the printing industry. He has spent the last 37 years continuing a proud tradition at Omaha Print, which traces its business roots back more than 150 years. Hayes helped grow the business by focusing on direct mail marketing and expanding their clientele beyond Omaha to a national presence with offices in Dallas and Atlanta. He is the first Nebraskan to be named to the Hall of Fame.
Hayes has been an active participant with the Printing Industries of America (PIA), Printing Industries of the Midlands (PIM) and National Association for Printing Leadership (NAPL). He has also been president and on the board of the national peer group Print America. Hayes is currently on the Knights of Ak-Sar-Ben Council and has served on the boards of Fontenelle Nature Association, Boy Scouts of America, The Stephen Center, Western Heritage Museum and the Bank of Elkhorn.
Omaha Print, founded in 1858, has its headquarters in Omaha, with a sales office in Dallas and the newly opened Atlanta office. The Omaha production facility is home to sheet fed, heat set web and cold set web presses, and a full bindery. The Atlanta office offers creative design, marketing strategy and digital printing.
